The Hands Into History Story
Hi, I'm Miss Suzie! On my YouTube channel, which you can find HERE, instead of boring history lectures, I get my hands into it!
How? 1st- I LOVE exploring history by actually DOING the same activities our ancestors would have done: cooking, baking, sewing, weaving, & all the other hands on things they did in daily life.
I love focusing on mid 19th century to later 20th century (1850's to 1970's).
2nd- as an ASL sign language interpreter since 2005, I found myself out of work for several years when Covid shut down everything in March of 2020.
Work has been a challenge & limited since then due to my skills suffering over that time. Interpreting each video provides me a way to practice my profession & hopefully not only keep the level of skill I have, but to improve back to where I was.
So join me in having fun as we explore the lives of our ancestors while getting our Hands Into History!
